Most sounds are randomly picked, play at random time intervals, and are controlled by weather conditions and day/night cycles.
There are different looping sounds for each region. You will not hear the same sounds for the woods of The West Gash as you will for the beaches of Azura’s Coast. You will hear an assortment of 3d-positioned birds and insects during the day time and crickets and frogs and the like at night time when you are in range of the natural flora like trees.
The weather affects the sounds too so birds will not sing in rainy weather while overcast and foggy days will have some birds and some frogs or crickets making sounds. The photodragons in the Bitter Coast will only come out and buzz in the day time, avoiding rainy weather too. When rain approaches new ambient sound of raindrops on foliage occur on plants throughout the whole of Vvardenfell then smoothly fade away when the sky clears.

The Counting Plume If you ask anyone who plays Morrowind what their least favourite thing in the game is, nine times out of ten they will say Cliff Racers (that or Fargoth) Cliff racers are a blight on the landscape and they don’t get killed out until long after you’ve started playing Oblivion by the mighty Saint Jiub. Most people just run away from the beasts, but thanks to Trainwiz and his sexy brain he has made a counting plume which as it suggests, counts how many Cliff racers you have killed throughout your game. So finally you can have a reason to kill the bastards. The Counting Plume Author: Trainwiz Size: 2kb Requirements: Morrowind Category: Miscellaneous Website: ★ ★ ★ ★ Four stars, because if I could carry his I would. Anonymous asked: Any recommendations you could give for hobo phase extension/power level-centered immersion mods; things like the mods that close off Sadrith Mora or add taxation for stronghold ownership, or mods that would slow down the pace of the main quest, make adventuring/dick-ass thieving less profitable/exploitable, and that would generally make progress through the game be more about meaningful interaction with the world and less about either twinking or being given things for nothing? Hmm, that is always mu favourite bit of the game, starting off having absolutely nothing, except what you can scrounge together off your enemies.
To make it last longer I recommend a good commerce mod, making things less valuable and harder to find, and also increases travel costs, and fines bigger. The best one I can think of is by HotFusion.
That will make the game a little harder to farm things for money, as well as heaps of other features. I could also suggest if you wanted a harder starting which would make the first few nights harder try by evermoonand selecting the drowning in a shipwreck option. As for the main quest, I would strongly recommend by Trainwiz, and like anything by Trainwiz, it is great and you should download blindly without question, also I think it does exactly what you are looking for. It makes the main quest move involved so you feel part of the game compared to before. I know there are a lot of other options out there for you to pick from that I’ve overlooked, so if anyone would like to comment or suggest something better or to add as well. Message me and let me know.
Ill add it to the list. Vivec Records Lore Friendly Yay realism! This mod is pretty self explanatory. It changes all the books from Hlaalu Records and Redoran Records from being a colourful and completely pointless library to a dull and completely pointless records um library. This mod achieves this by changing all of the books, (Don’t worry none are skill gaining or quest related) to five or so different version of generic record books for each house. Reading them gives you something like; ’‘These are official records and documents for House Redoran. Dusty, dull, and useless to you.“ I love this mod purely because I love added realism.

Simple Taxes is a good one that makes you have to pay taxes on property and horses, and adds bounties if you refuse to pay them. I like the bank idea a lot. I think a loan system with consequences for unpaid debts would add a lot of dynamics. Perhaps have very high security on the banks with the ability to rob them for theif characters. I think everybody would love boats, and it's something that has been discussed quite a bit. As far as I know it doesn't seem to be very possible in Skyrim's engine. As far as I know it doesn't seem to be very possible in Skyrim's engine. I meant to mention that one but forgot when I rewrote this post after losing it when the first post failed. The Taxes mod is great and is what I had in mind for good, plausible gold sinks. Though it would only go so far, with a yearly or monthly payment. I refuse however to believe that Skyrim's engine can't handle boats with all the other script extenders that I've seen. It would however take some work.
Anyway I hope these ideas get taken to heart. Unfortunately I'm not a modder, but I see the tremendous effort by the modding community and hope that they will direct their efforts in these directions. The demand is most certainly there. I didn't test banks, didn't seem handy that much.

Not a full Brothels, but something, I also didn't test it. For money, it all about role play really. If you are going to take everything and strip every bandit.
You will end up rich son. Try to limit the way you get money by your skill set. My thief knows gems, pottery and jewelry cost. But weapons and armors take a lot of space and seem worthless. My orc knows armors and weapons, but gems, pottery and spell tomes are out. My mage know spell tomes, enchanted items and staves.
I have runs sometimes with no alchemy or restoration so I buy healing potions. Try honed metal npc crafting too. For boats, there is two types, real time and fast. Edited by Boombro, 09 February 2015 - 03:06 AM.
I didn't test banks, didn't seem handy that much. First was mentioned, the second looks interesting, but is only based in one city. Not a full Brothels, but something, I also didn't test it.
I mentioned this one too. Not what I had in mind, given in the description, though along the right lines. For money, it all about role play really. If you are going to take everything and strip every bandit. You will end up rich son. Try to limit the way you get money by your skill set.
Shouldn't have to do that. If it's there, I take. I didn't test banks, didn't seem handy that much. Not a full Brothels, but something, I also didn't test it.

The creator of this thread all ready mentioned Banks of Skyrim. The other one looks intriguing, but I don't think that is what he had in mind. What the game needs in not 'A Bank' but a banking system. I, too, loved Indy Bank mod for morrowind. What that mod did is not add 1 bank, but a number of banks to the cities of Vverdenfell.
You could walk into any bank and use the banks features, like depositing and withdrawing money, taking investments, and more. The greatest part was that you could deposit money in one city after a very good adventure that netted you a lot of loot to sell. Then hours later you could be in another part of the land, low on health and running to the nearest city only to discover that you had no money to stay at the inn. No problemo, just make a quick trip to the bank to make a withdrawal, and now you can afford the inn. Oblivion also had a banking system 'The Bank of Cyrodiil'. However it handled things differently.
Instead of having a bank 'building' in each of the cities, there was a central bank in the Imperial City market district. Then through the cities of Cyrodiil, the modder added banking functionality to many of the merchants. This had the same effect, you could deposit your money in the Imperial City, then withdraw it in Anvil. This is what Skyrim needs, and I believe the second method (the way it was done in Oblivion) would be the better of the two for Skyrim. So, there should be a central bank (like in Solitude, the capital of Skyrim), and then throughout the cities of Skyrim there should be merchants who have banking functionality.
As far as brothels, I want to take this one step further and say Skyrim needs arenas. There was one arena on the island of Vverdenfell in Morrowind, there were two arenas in Cryodiil in Oblivion (one was destroyed by the assault on kvatch), and now there are now arenas in Skyrim. Oh, and as far as gold sinks are concerned: Inns should be more expensive (depending on where you are) carriages should be more expensive (depending on how far you have to go) Also there should be rentals: Home for rent Horses for rent Equipment for rent Small boats for rent Other money sinks could be: Purchasing a large ship with crew and maintenance expenses. Purchasing a castle with staff and maintenance expenses. There is also Herijarchen Farm and Windstadd Mine, two build-it-yourself business mods. I believe you do have staff that have wages to pay in those mods. If the author of those mods is willing, it would be great if he did some more.
Those are just some ideas. Edited by OpenWorldAddict, 09 February 2015 - 03:59 AM.
